Russell Toney

Group President, Air Handling, Madison Air

Russell Toney serves as Group President of Air Handling Solutions at Madison Air, where he leads a diverse portfolio of brands including Nortek Air Solutions, AcoustiFLO, Bananza, Phoenix Air Systems, Rapid Engineering, UV Resources, and WeatherRite. These brands deliver custom-engineered HVAC and air handling systems across critical environments—from schools and hospitals to biotech, pharma, and advanced manufacturing.

 

Russell has an extensive track record of leadership in global manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Nortek Air Solutions, he served as an Operating Company President at Dover Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer with approximately $8B in annual sales. At Dover, he led businesses providing highly engineered products to customers across the industrial automation, automotive and electronics sectors.

 

Earlier in his career, Russell spent 13 years at General Electric in leadership roles across engineering, operations, sales, and supply chain. He also worked as a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and began his professional journey in engineering and manufacturing at Procter & Gamble.

 

Russell holds an MBA from Darden Business School at the University of Virginia. A proud native of Cincinnati, OH, he attended the University of Dayton, OH, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He serves on the board of Albany International (NYSE: AIN), and is Board President of Chicago Cares, a civic engagement nonprofit. He also serves as a Board Director for the DuPage Children’s Museum, supporting access to transformative learning experiences for children.
