Recently, Madison Founder and CEO, Larry Gies, spoke to students in the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois. This lecture marked his 30th year speaking to future leaders. The auditorium was packed with students from two classes; Entrepreneurial Finance and Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition. With a focus on a case study from one of Madison’s businesses to give a real-life experience into owning a business, he also shared his lessons learned from failure, connecting purpose and impact, and always leading with mission.
