Governair has been an industry leader in the design and manufacture of HVAC systems since its founding in 1937. The brand was one of the first companies to pursue a total-system approach for climatizing a large structure, and it left its defining mark on the industry in 1942 by patenting the first self-contained, water-cooled air conditioning unit ever built for commercial use. Today, the commercial and industrial air handlers manufactured by Governair continue its legacy.
