SPX Corporation: A True Partner

SPX Corporation (NYSE-listed) sold Italian based Cofimco to Madison in 2004. SPX was very pleased with the responsiveness and transparency of Madison throughout the short process and how the business was operated after the transaction closed.

In 2009 amid the bankruptcy of GM and Chrysler and pressure from Wall Street, SPX decided to sell its automotive OEM supplier, Filtran. Given the economic uncertainty at the time, there was little real interest from potential buyers in purchasing Filtran. SPX called Madison and asked if it had any interest in this company. After an email or two of information, Madison agreed to purchase Filtran. SPX again was very pleased with the speed and efficiency of Madison throughout the process. Most importantly, the integration went very smoothly and caused absolutely no disruptions to SPX or its management team.

A partnership that has only grown since 2004, SPX often calls on Madison to work on new projects.
