Operational expert to focus on helping teams grow their businesses

July 12, 2023 — CHICAGO, IL – Madison Industries, one of the world’s largest privately held companies announced that Andrew Masterman has joined Madison Industries as a Senior Managing Director. Masterman will work with Madison leaders in building truly remarkable businesses that make the world safer, healthier and more productive.

Most recently, Masterman served as President and CEO of Brightview Landscapes, the world’s largest commercial landscape provider, where he grew the company to over $2.8 billion in revenue and over 22,000 people. He decentralized operations and reorganized the company which resulted in 20% EBITDA growth and 100% cash flow growth. In 2018, Masterman led Brightview through a successful IPO. Andrew’s focus on talent development led him to create the BrightView leadership development center which includes a curriculum of entrepreneurial leadership training courses.

Prior to Brightview, Mr. Masterman held leadership roles at Precision Cast Parts where he led two business segments with $3.6 billion in revenue and the transition from a publicly-traded company to a Berkshire Hathaway-owned company. Previously, he has served in leadership roles including President Walbro Asia; President Spartan Light Metal Products; President Metalico; and President and CEO of ESAB Group North America.

Mr. Masterman has a BA from Colorado College and an MBA, MS in Industrial engineering and MA in Japanese Studies from the University of Michigan. He is fluent in Japanese, completed multiple triathlons and serves on the Board of Governors at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
