Paul Kardish

General Counsel, Madison Industries

Mr. Kardish serves as General Counsel of Madison Industries, where he provides legal and strategic counsel to the organization and its leadership. His recent work has included helping companies prepare for the public markets and navigate the legal, governance, risk-management, and organizational considerations associated with an initial public offering. He has also been involved in multiple IPOs, most recently leading Madison Air’s 2026 offering.

 

Prior to joining Madison Industries, Mr. Kardish served as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of The AZEK Company, where he helped establish and lead the company’s legal function during a period of significant growth and transformation. He joined AZEK in 2019 and remained with the company through its IPO and transition to a public company.

 

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kardish was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Schneider National, Inc., a major transportation and logistics company. He also held senior legal and corporate leadership positions with companies including Orion Energy Systems, Kohler, Honeywell International, Intel, Micron Technology, and Freeport-McMoRan. His experience across multiple industries has given him a broad perspective on the intersection of law, business strategy, operations, and corporate leadership.

 

Mr. Kardish’s background extends beyond traditional corporate law.  Earlier in his career, he served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, experience that has informed his work in corporate security, risk management and crisis preparedness.

 

He earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology from Juniata College, a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law, and a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law. He has been admitted to practice law in Texas and Wisconsin and has been active in professional and community organizations.
