Just across the Hudson River from COVID-19’s US epicenter, a New Jersey water utility was faced with an emergency repair to their potable water distribution system when an automobile struck a fire hydrant directly in front of a fire station. As the only hydrant within 800 feet, the utility had to act quickly, but traditional repair methods could result in the loss of water to over 100 homes as well as fire rescue.
Hydra-Stop was able to promptly supply the Insta-Valve 250 to provide targeted water shutdown, which allowed the utility to make the repair while ensuring that homes in the area had running water to wash their hands, stay safe and maintain everyday life while sheltering in place. Thank you team Hydra-Stop! #MADISONSTRONG
