John H. Deininger

Former Senior Officer, ITW

As the former Chairman of The Plastics Group, Mr. Deininger is credited with successfully reorganizing and revitalizing Pawnee Rotational Molding after it was acquired by Madison from Pawnee’s bankrupt parent. Prior to this, he invested in and served as the CEO and President of Union City Body Company, an $80 million manufacturer of step-delivery van bodies which was successfully brought out of bankruptcy under his leadership. Previously, as Corporate Executive Vice President of NYSE-listed Illinois Tool Works, Mr. Deininger managed and revitalized seven Midwest companies. As President and Chief Operating Officer at NYSE-listed Signode Industries, he led its $550 million LBO, reducing debt 50% without a single divestiture before selling the entire company to Illinois Tool Works. Mr. Deininger excels in operational optimization through alignment of management goals and the revitalization of stagnant organizations and management teams. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and MBA from the University of Chicago.
